State Golf Results

State golf tournaments have come to close on Tuesday and several local athletes faired quite well. Bartlesville’s Tanner John took 25TH in the 6A state tournament that took place at the Jimmy Austin Golf Club in Norman. John was the only Bruin participating. He shot an overall 238 which included a third round 75, which was his best score of the tournament and was a top ten score on the day.

The Nowata boys’ team ended up taking second place as a team at 2A state. The Ironmen shot a three round team total 1,014 which was 65 shots out of first place. Maddox and Spencer Bullen finished in a three-way tie for sixth in the state with a 237 score. Jace Thompson shot a 265. That event took place at Buffalo Rock Golf Course in Cushing.
