The Dewey Bulldoggers football program will be looking for a new head coach. Trent Turner has resigned his post after three years at the helm. This move is expected to be approved by the Dewey School Board on Monday evening.

Turner went 11-20 with one playoff appearance during his tenure with the Bulldoggers. Dewey won its highest total of games this century in the 2019 playoff season when it went 7-4. Turner says he will remember that team fondly.

Turner also spent one season as the Doggers offensive coordinator during a playoff season in 2016. He says his family enjoyed the time in Dewey over the years. Turner will get back to his offensive roots this upcoming season as he will step into the offensive coordinator role at Perkins-Tryon. Turner highlights why the job makes sense for him.

Dewey will be making the leap up to 3A for the 2022 season. As of right now there has been no announcement regarding a new head coach.
