Nowata Football Building With Young Group

The OSSAA mandated dead period may be in effect for this week, but high school football in Oklahoma never sleeps.


The Nowata Ironmen were in full swing on and off the field prior to the pause, as Nowata looks to build off of last season's playoff run with a young group this year.

 

Head coach Chance Juby said summer passing league games has helped out a young receiver group.


Nowata went 3-7 last year and got into the playoffs for the first time in five years.


Juby said he's liked the leadership roles his experienced players have taken.
